About the Artist

Kiefer Sommerfield, going by the alias, Zix Elixel, loves painting darker subjects, and those that know him closely are familiar with his propensity for painting demons. His thematic focus is the coexistence of opposites, especially of growth through pain. He is now taking 3-dimensional art classes at Los Rios Community College, and he hopes these classes will take him in new directions of artistry. Outside of art, Kiefer enjoys coffee or boba runs at any time of day, plays video games, eats yummy food rapidly, listens to music non-stop, and craves sunlight. He currently works at Kingswood Elementary school as an after-school teacher, where he attempts to bring art (albeit much more child-friendly) to the students and help them understand their true potential as human beings. You can find more of his work at @zix_elixel_art on Instagram.
